Our Latest Success Story: Ruby Loses 15 Pounds and Conquers Her Cravings!
Are you feeling ready to conquer cravings?Do you feel frustrated when you hear people talking about their healthy vegan diet and how much weight they lost?
Maybe the idea of eating so many healthy veggies and fruits and nuts and legumes just seems so … unrealistic.
The photo for this article is of yours truly (Erika Awakening), after losing about 15 pounds and gaining muscle tone with my advanced EFT tapping coaching method. I actually look better in a bikini now than I did when I was 20 years old. Indeed, when I was 20 years old, I was significantly overweight after packing on the pounds working as a waitress in a restaurant. The “me” you see now is about 35 pounds lighter than I was at my highest weight back in college!
You may be wondering … do other people get similarly wonderful results from practicing my advanced EFT tapping coaching system? Do other people conquer cravings and lose weight?
That’s why I want to share with you today yet another one of our famous success stories … the story of my client and customer Ruby (not her real name). Like many of my clients, Ruby lives far away from me, in the South in the United States. This means she is constantly being tempted by greasy, unhealthy foods. She lives in a culture where most people are dangerously overweight. And she found herself gaining extra pounds … just to try to “fit in” and not “stand out from the crowd”! She was feeling low in energy and unmotivated.
Ruby also had major sugar cravings and could not seem to stop herself from indulging in the sugar. (We talked about sugar addiction here.) Ruby did not know how to conquer cravings and get on the path of healthier eating.
Ruby was not morbidly obese, just a little bit chubby. But those of us who have been “just a little bit chubby” know how very frustrating it can be to know we don’t look or feel our best. If only we could lose those “last few extra pounds” … and yet that goal seems so far out of reach. If we can’t conquer cravings, it is all to tempting to eat that slice of bread, or that piece of cake, or that hot dog or cheese. Yes, meat and dairy are highly addictive, and not at all healthy.
(For me, I had not lost those “last few extra pounds” since junior high school!!)
Ruby was also finding it very difficult to find and prepare healthy meals. She did not know how to be a vegan, and everyone around her was constantly tempting her to go back to eating greasy unethical food.Ruby decided to work with my 30-Day Health & Fitness Challenge, and she also enrolled in my 15-Week Miracle Coaching program. During our Skype sessions for the 15-Week Miracle Coaching Program, we worked on releasing her inner resistance to eating healthy. We addressed issues of peer pressure, not knowing how to become vegan, not having good sources of fresh organic food. We addressed fears of other people being jealous, fears of being more attractive to men, and much much more.
I’m happy to report that Ruby recently graduated from my 15-Week Miracle Coaching program, and she is now 15 pounds lighter than we started the coaching program! She has also transitioned to a much healthier vegan diet.
But the best part is how Ruby is feeling about life, about herself, and about her body. In her last email to me, she sounded like a new woman. Excited about life, enthusiastic about the changes she is making. Here is her experience in her own words (she gave me permission to share her testimonial):
“I am amazed at the 15-pound weight-loss and how it is progressing but even better is the sugar craving. It is nearly non-existent! That alone is worth the price of your program. Think about how many people pay for hypnosis during this time of year to help them to lose weight or to stop smoking. I am still learning lots and lots about being a vegan. However, I literally crave green smoothies now and feel better as well. Never in a hundred million years would I have ever thought I would crave and desire green smoothies!”
– Ruby
Well, that’s just fantastic, Ruby. Ruby gives new meaning to our desire to conquer cravings. She didn’t just conquer cravings, she replaced her cravings with HEALTHY CRAVINGS. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Ruby, thanks for letting us share your story. Yes, I have had the same experience with conquering cravings. Last night I found myself craving baby bok choy! I’ve been eating vegan (and unsweetened by omitting the sugar) pad thai with tons of veggies for breakfast. Lol … like Ruby, never in a million years did I think I would start “craving” vegetables. But that is what happens when we release our emotional baggage. We stop sabotaging our health because we begin to feel how DESERVING we are of feeling good and eating in a healthy way.

good for her. I’m glad she found something that worked for her
Sounds like a great program. I will have to read more into it.
That is awesome.. i went on a journey like this, and have conquered many eating issues i had.. i dropped abt 35lbs in the process.
Awesome Robert, congratulations!
Congratulations to you and Ruby for achieving the weight loss goals you set for yourselves. Sugar is definitely an addictive poison we need to cut back or avoid entirely. Kudos! :-)
Once you learn to ignore your cravings, you can achieve anything!
Cheese is my doozey. I’ve never tried to give it up, but I’ve toyed with the idea a bit.
Rosey, cheese has addictive substances in it … it’s usually the last thing people give up in going vegan. After the withdrawal symptoms passed, I don’t have much desire for it anymore. I’m glad though to have the option of delicious Chao vegan slices every so often …
Where do you find the Chao vegan slices? I’d love to try it. And can you cook with it?
Hi Rosey, it melts nicely so yea I think you can cook with it. I’m going to try chile rellenos with it this week. I got it at Whole Foods.
Sounds like a great program for someone who is looking for some weight loss, which could yield great results as well. I always think a better diet plan will do wonders.
Yes Lisa, and this is not just a diet. This is also an emotional cleanse. So deep seated and previously unacknowledged emotional issues also get resolved. After this 30-Day Challenge, the longer term effects were for me and my customers to be attracted to a different kind of food and lifestyle.
Sounds like a great program. And you're vegan pad thai looks awesome.
I cut back sugar due to Diabetes. Really helps.
Cravings are very hard to get over, but once you do you feel so good; I’ve been drinking only water for 5 years now; it feels good!
This sounds like an awesome program indeed. It is nice to see when people have a positive result from a good program. Kudos to you and Ruby. Keep up the great work.
I feel really happy for Ruby. She sounds so energized compared to just a few months ago :)
Shoot…no magic pill? Dang nab it…just got do it the old fashioned way. Eat when I’m hungry, stop when I’m full and just say no to those toll house cookies ;)
For me it was a bit of a magic pill … though not to underestimate the commitment that EFT tapping is … The weight loss itself though was easy, and keeping the weight off has been easy. It’s getting people to commit to tapping that has proved to be hard lol ;)
I was a vegan for almost 7 years, and I have to say that there is no diet that guarantees you’ll be healthy. You can find “cheats” in any diet! It has much more to do with your own mental state and determination to eat food that really makes you feel good long term!
Yes with the proliferation of vegan processed foods, some are finding ways to eat unhealthy even as a vegan. But most vegans I know are lean, energetic, and healthy. In far greater percentages than my non-vegan friends.
I know it would be such a fantastic feeling to actually lose the weight I need to lose and get myself in a better health position. Just getting to that point is challenging. Success stories like this is definitely helpful and motivating and I’m happy to read your post to get me to think more about how important it is.
I have heard that cutting out sugar really do helps. I need to lose about 20lbs and have been thinking of going a really good diet.
I’m trying to lessen the carbs in my diet. I try to eat healthier as well. :)
I have been on a "Clean Eating" program now and have lost 15lbs so far! It is hard to find a good diet plan to loose those few extra lbs- and KEEP them off, especially after 40!!
I need to do better with maintaining my 80 lb weight loss.
I need to work on eating less and consuming more vegetables. I know that I feel better when I eat plenty of veggies. I gave up diet soda about two weeks ago. I ended up doing it cold turkey. Instead, I have been chugging water and unsweetened tea.
Congrats on giving up the diet soda, every little step adds up to big steps! For me, the key especially at first was finding ways to make veggies that I really enjoyed with seasonings. So I found a lovely oil and vinegar salad dressing that has no sugar and makes me excited for salad. The Asian cuisine really does it for me. Stir fry, miso soup, asian salad dressing, green curry, Indian-style lentils … and now I’m craving veggies even just by themselves too :)
I have been hearing a lot about EFT lately it seem to be effective for slimming.. Will check it out.
