The Reason People Are Not Always Honest …

is that they are scared of being judged.

Because at some point in the past, they tried being honest, and the result was that they were judged.

So they don’t trust honesty now.

Which is ironic, because honesty is what builds trust.

I’ll be the first to admit how challenging it is to be radically honest.

It’s really not possible until judgment has been eliminated.

  2. THE reason? just A reason really.

  3. Nice photo, John, lol :-)

This is why I love non-violent communication btw. Because it gives people a non-judgmental way of talking about touchy issues. Though I’ll be the first to admit that when I get “triggered” in the moment, especially when I get really surprised by something, I don’t always respond as calmly as I would like.

  4. Um, yes.
