You Will Love This Yummy Vegan Pad Thai Recipe!
Mmmmm … pad thai. It is such a sensual dish, with so many different layers of spice and seasoning … so it’s the perfect recipe to share today as we ponder the question …Do vegans have better sex?
Some of you may know that I’ve been mostly celibate for the past decade … And my forays into sex were so famously unfortunate, involving such ridiculously unethical men, that I kept returning to celibacy over and over again …
It all sounds horrible, but I tell you what … It led me to becoming vegan. Part of my awakening was realizing the betrayals that had happened to me at the hands of men were being mirrored by my conduct toward animals. And if I wanted to live in a different world where people could actually trust each other, I would have to change my ways … So change my ways I did …
And now … WOW … I was planning to stay celibate. But as I’m deepening my connections in the vegan community … I’m finding a depth of connection and a sexual potency that may change my mind … And this time, I’ll do it right. This time, ethics comes first. And sex comes dead last. Only after every other important dimension is sorted …
What simply cannot be denied though is how sexually potent these vegan men feel to me.
I mean just WOW. Like wow I can feel that sexual power from thousands of miles away.
And that sexual potency is not ungrounded like most of the men I’ve encountered in this lifetime. At least with quite a few of these vegan men, the sexuality seems to be very intimately connected with a deeply compassionate heart and strong ethics. Many of them are not men in their early 20s, either. Some of them are men that our society would view as “past their sexual prime.” But they’re not past their prime, because veganism is a source of youth and vitality.
If vegans do have better sex … It’s really not all that surprising. When we consume death day in and day out, we die inside. That bacon doesn’t just clog the arteries to the heart. It also clogs the flow to the two other major erotic centers, the brain and the cock. When we change our ways and choose life through every dietary and lifestyle choice we make, we send a powerful message to our subconscious mind … and sexuality like everything else must follow.
So without further ado, here we go with the best vegan pad thai recipe.
Best Vegan Pad Thai Recipe
Personally I use and recommend all organic ingredients. Organic farming practices are another vote for life and for saving animals!
4 ounces pad thai rice noodles
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Tablespoon sesame oil (I used regular but would have used toasted sesame oil if I had it in the cupboard)
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 Tablespoons sriracha sauce (use less if you don’t like much spice, more to turn up the heat)
1 Tablespoon Sauternes wine (optional)
2 teaspoons brown sugar (add more if you like it sweet, I prefer less sweet)
3 Tablespoons tamarind paste
1/2 cup – 1 cup water
3-4 cups diced veggies (include some red onion it makes the flavor really pop. Other good choices are baby bok choy, broccoli, carrots, tender mushrooms, red pepper, zucchini, or whatever else sounds good to you)
Lime juice
Peanuts
Okay we are going to keep this – the best vegan pad thai recipe – super easy. It only takes a few minutes to make. Cook the rice noodles according to instructions on the box. Be sure to strain them promptly, we don’t want them to get mushy. Set aside.
In a skillet, saute the olive oil with the garlic for a few minutes. Add the red onions, saute a minute more. Then add the veggies and the water. As you keep stirring the veggies, add the brown sugar, sriracha, tamarind paste, Sauternes, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Next add the noodles and saute everything together. Don’t overcook the veggies, it’s better if they are still slightly firm. Now when all the noodles are well coated with sauce, you can serve the pad thai. Add lime juice and peanuts on top to taste.
See how easy this is? And wait until you taste this vegan pad thai recipe … OMG so good. This vegan pad thai recipe would be a great romantic meal served with some champagne or lightly sweet wine.

Pad Tai is one of my favorite dishes to eat.. i am going to give this a try over the weekend.
Oh yes it's so good. Make sure to add lots of peanuts on top.
Yea sriracha sauce is soooo good on just about anything. I also got the sriracha flavored Just Mayo yesterday (also vegan) because everyone keeps telling me how good it is. Might try that on homemade falafels …
Hi Alaka, yea a bit of a specialty ingredient but they usually carry it at Whole Foods here. I have Aunt Patty's organic tamarind paste. They were out yesterday when I went to Whole Foods but I could see the spot where they usually carry it. It can also be ordered online … The tamarind paste really makes the dish so I wouldn't recommend skipping it …
Love that this includes two of my favorite things: sriracha and apple cider vinegar! I've never cooked with tamarind paste, though. I wonder where I'd find that locally.
This sounds really delicious! Pad thai is one of my favorite dishes, and this looks like a wonderful twist on the traditional one!

I was thinking I hadn’t heard of this when I stopped by before. But I think this is exactly what my oldest son was in search of one of our nights visiting him and his wife in DC. If it’s the same, and I really think it is, he was saying how amazing it was, and wanted me and his dad to try it.
I have never had pad thai before. I am not vegan, but I would try it :)
Yum! I love vegetarian Pad Thai so I’m sure I’d enjoy the vegan version as well.
