Now let’s talk about forgiveness mantras. These are coming from A Course in Miracles.
A word of awareness before I share with you some of my favorite forgiveness mantras to simplify your life … Do not be surprised if these mantras sometimes seem to stir up MORE fear in you temporarily before they bring miracles. A Course in Miracles is extremely threatening to the ego mind so fear that was buried way below conscious awareness begins to become conscious. That said, long term these mantras really work … and it is so wonderful in a moment of upset when your subconscious mind has been reprogrammed to reassure you automatically with the mantras.
Simplify Your Life in 30 Days with EFT Tapping My cute and simple hut at Desa Seni yoga retreat in Canggu, Bali … we had an amazing yin yoga class thereSo with that word of “caution” lol, here are some of my favorites:
“God is the love in which I forgive you, __________. God is the love in which I forgive myself.”
To be reached for whenever a judgmental or fear-based thought crosses the mind …
“God is the strength in which I trust.”
To be reached for whenever fear arises, because fear is the signal that you are relying on your own strength instead of a Higher Power. Remember we don’t see the big picture. What seems “bad” today may turn out to be “very, very good” tomorrow when we can see more of the big picture … Trust that a Higher Power DOES see the big picture and is leading us where we need to go. Which brings us to:
“Today I will judge nothing that occurs.”
Try it. It’s hard at first. We are all so trained to judge every little thing as good or bad. Now if we can step back into the “noticer” non-ego mind for a moment, we can notice that we really don’t know if any little thing is good or bad. Which leads us to:

Sometimes that person who is the biggest “pain in the rear end” in our lives is actually helping us grow or is a catalyst to some big shift … “I trust my brothers who are one with me.”
“And God Himself shall wipe away all tears.”
This is a particular favorite of mine, as it feels so reassuring, along with “A happy outcome to all things is sure.”
“The power of decision is my own.”
Reminds us instantly that we are creating our own reality, and if what we are creating does not feel good, we do have the power to change it.
“I am the Holy Son of God Himself. I remain as God created me … perfect.”
My cat Fritz particularly likes these mantras. If he’s under the bed and I announce, “Fritz, you are the Holy Son of God Himself. You remain as God created you” a few times, he usually comes out from under the bed, takes a nice indulgent yoga stretch, and generally starts walking around like he owns the place.
“Heaven is the decision I must make.”
It reminds us that happiness is a choice and that we must choose to be happy if we want to be happy.
“God’s Will for me is perfect happiness.”
Reminds us that anything that conflicts with our happiness is not God’s Will. Therefore, it need not be, and we can change it by changing our minds. This extends to everything, including all forms of sickness, suffering, and death.
“I am in danger nowhere in the world.”
This is a very useful mantra when on a trip like the one I’m on now … in third world countries with lots of seeming “hazards.” This mantra reminds us that our safety does not come from external “safeguards” but rather from God Himself.
These are just a few of my favorites, feel free to add your own in the comments section. When used consistently, these mantras will definitely simplify your life. A world of safety and non-judgment go hand in hand with simplicity, as most of the complexity in our lives comes from our judgments and our defenses in response to those judgments. “Complexity is of the ego.”

Love,
Some beautiful thoughts on forgiveness Erika, Thank you.
On Happiness too, keep in mind that we don’t find gratefulness by being happy,
We find Happiness by being Grateful.
These are great mantras, Erika. “I’m in danger nowhere in the world” is my favorite, I think a lot of people live in fear, especially since the media likes to portray so much of the negative things going on.
Great photo, I draw so much out of it when I look at that monkey sitting there so peacefully over the world. You’ve got great insight as usual.

I love the mantras, Erika! They are truly powerful when applied to our daily walk! That has been my experience.
Love the photo. I met a couple who came over to my Hotel at the Plataran to check it out because they were staying at Amana, which they said was very close and down the road.
