Enjoy Relaxation and Healing at the 5-Star Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea Jordan
Disclosure: We received a complimentary stay at the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea in exchange for our honest review.
Ahhh if only I could go back in time to our brief stay at the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea right now. As many of you know, I have been in the midst of a dire emergency with my cat Harvey for the past month. We are doing everything we can to get Harvey the Cat a miracle of healing like we did for Fritz the Cat (read miracle healing stories here). I have felt stressed and overwhelmed beyond anything I can describe.
It only took a few minutes today of looking at my photos from Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea in Jordan for me to slip back into that feeling of paradise and healing that we experienced at the Dead Sea. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The Dead Sea is legendary for its healing properties. The water is full of salts and minerals that leave the skin feeling silky smooth.
You may also know that the water of the Dead Sea is so salty that you can float on it without sinking. This is why so many people take the famous newspaper photograph of themselves in the Dead Sea – like this :)And there is no better place to enjoy the healing waters of the Dead Sea than the 5-star resort at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea.
At this 5-star resort Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea, we enjoyed luscious buffet breakfasts and dinners, the Dead Sea floating and mud experience with the assistance of a very eager-to-help-us lifeguard, and spectacular belly dancing at night. I even tried shisha for the first time in my life, at the urging of my travel companion. Our time at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea was truly magical. I wish I had the photos of the mud experience. After floating in the Dead Sea, we smeared mud all over each other. I did not expect to feel much of a change, but after we washed the mud off our bodies … I could not deny that my skin felt silky soft and continued to feel wonderful for the rest of the day. In addition to the healing waters of the Dead Sea itself, the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea provides several lovely swimming pools for refreshing yourself throughout the day. There are wonderful bars and restaurants around the swimming pools. I ordered a piña colada because that drink always gives me the fabulous feeling of being on vacation.I sure wish that Jordan were closer to where I live in the United States, because I would be making monthly pilgrimages to the Dead Sea to soak in those healing waters. No matter how far away you live, though, I would highly recommend putting the Dead Sea in Jordan on your travel bucket list.
It is amazing how travel is not just about the trip itself. It is also about the space that is opened up inside ourselves from a new experience. Even now during one of the most stressful times in my entire life, it takes only a few minutes of seeing these happy peaceful photos for me to be able to have that feeling of serenity all over again :)
When will you make the pilgrimage to the Dead Sea in Jordan and experience all this for yourself?

My sister in law just returned from a visit there. She had a wonderful time, as I am sure you are too!
What an exciting trip you had. My aunt and cousins went there a couple of years ago and they had so much fun. I would love to visit this one day.
I am sorry you are having troubles with your cat and I hope he is okay. I have never been to the Dead Sea, it is so beautiful. My kids would love the covering up in mud part!
Yes, the mud would indeed have widespread kid appeal! I’d love to go there, but not just for the mud. ;)
I’ve always thought it would be so neat to float in the Dead Sea. I would love to get there one day! It’s lovely there!
These are great photos. It looks like you had a great time.
Wow, what an amazing trip! I would love to visit the Dead Sea and soak in the waters!
I experienced the dead Sea when I went on a trip to Israel with my Mom for my 50th birthday. You want the truth–I stuck one toe in there and would not go farther in–I did not like the slimy feeling one little bit (that is because it is salty which is a base which is a soapy feel). Everyone else was loving it—and putting the mud over every inch of their bodies–to each his/her own!!
I would live to visit one day. I have never been out of the country
