Some of the primary components of HBR are Non-Violent Communication (NVC) (also known as “empathy”), Emotional Freedom Techniques (also known as “tapping,” which is an acupressure-based system ideal for healing and transforming a person’s belief system), Shadow Integration work (which I learned, in part, from Debbie Ford), and the spiritual principles of A Course in Miracles, a powerful book that basically teaches people how to let go of the unsatisfying and lonely “egoic” part of themselves and embrace fully their Higher Self.
HBR also takes the best of the best of teachings from powerful role models like Byron Katie, Eckhart Tolle, Marshall Rosenberg, Gary Craig, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Debbie Ford, and other motivational leading lights.
HBR is used synergistically with other modalities, such as meditation and deep bodywork (for example, deep tissue massage). I give my clients customized recommendations as to which “between-HBR-session” practices will help them the most.
If you’re anything like I was, you’ve found “hope” in a whole range of “new agey” philosophies and methods, only to be disappointed yet again when you were not able to implement those exciting beliefs and methods in a way that produced fast and tangible results …
Let’s face it … if you want financial abundance, you want it NOW … if you want to feel happy, you want that NOW … and if the method or philosophy promises and doesn’t deliver … well … it leads many people to become even more bitter and cynical than they already were.
And I have good news for you … if you’ve been intrigued by any of the following, then HBR is hands down THE fastest method to get actual results from the philosophy or method:
1. The movie The Secret and the ideas of The Law of Attraction
The movie was very intriguing, and so were all the articles I read. Yet, if you’re like many people, you’ve tried doing visualizations and affirmations with very limited success. It can be very frustrating.
The fundamental problem with The Secret and most Law of Attraction books is that they don’t teach you practical techniques for how to integrate your conscious desires with everything that is going on in your SUBCONSCIOUS mind. And I’ll tell you right now, if you don’t have the SUBCONSCIOUS mind on board with your intentions, there ain’t no way in hell those desires are going to manifest.
HBR answers that problem, soundly, by talking directly to the subconscious mind.
2. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
I loved Eckhart Tolle’s audio book when I first listened to it maybe seven or eight years ago now, but again same problem … while in theory it sounded great to “become present” and just “be in the moment,” as a practical matter, I (and many others I’ve talked to) found it nearly impossible to do. Why? Our egoic defenses were too high.
HBR answers this problem, giving you the tools to release all of the subconscious resistance to presence, and making the Power of Now easy right NOW.
3. Power vs. Force by David Hawkins
This book by David Hawkins was quite fascinating, and describes the human emotional vibrational scale from the lowest vibrations of fear, guilt, and shame, to the highest vibrations like love, bliss, and ultimately ascension.
But again … no practical tools for getting there … leaving me with the frustrating question, how the hell do I raise my vibrational frequency to something that FEELS BETTER?
HBR answers this question. As we systematically release negative emotions like guilt, shame, fear, and anger out of the energetic system, people revert to their natural birthright of pure happiness all the time.
4. Detachment from the Outcome
Sounds great in theory. I simply won’t be attached to the outcome anymore. But try giving that advice to someone who is energetically welded to the outcome … it’s not going to help them AT ALL.
HBR answers this problem, because as we become present with and release all the negative emotions mentioned above (and the memories and archetypal patterns those emotions were built on), detachment arises organically with no effort at all. And it’s not “indifference” or a subliminally angry “I don’t give a fuck about you” detachment. It’s compassionate detachment.
5. A Course in Miracles
Many people find this book to be impenetrable. I do recommend that my students read the book, because it’s one of the most powerful tools for unraveling the ego ever to be placed on this planet, but even if you don’t read the book, my system will teach you all the basic win/win principles that will transform your life.
ACIM means the end of sacrifice, the end of domination, the end of violence, the end of anger and hatred, the end of conflict. And now HBR gives you a practical way to make that idealistic vision a REALITY.
6. The Teachings of Abraham
This was another book I was deeply intrigued by but didn’t get concrete results from … Abraham gives a “vibrational” emotional scale and provides tools for moving up the vibrational scale, but I personally had too much egoic energy trapping me in the lower vibrations.
HBR answers this problem. As we release the negativity, you will organically move into the highest and best-feeling vibrations in an organic and effortless way.
7. The Teachings of Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra
These two men have had a tremendous influence on me, but once again, while their ideas sounded great in theory, I was having a lot of trouble putting The Power of Intention into practice. And I had no idea what my “dharma” (or life purpose) was … lo and behold, when I started developing HBR, it became apparent this WAS my life purpose.
And during our sessions together, my clients also find their life purpose and manifest their intentions into reality.
8. The Work by Byron Katie
Another brilliant book, and I’ve integrated some of Byron Katie’s teachings into HBR, but again, I was not able to use the teachings in a way that truly changed my life until I developed HBR. Before HBR, the negative beliefs still “felt true,” even after doing “The Work.” After HBR, all the negative energy has been drained out of the belief. Not only does the negative belief stop “feeling true,” it also stops “being true” (in other words, it stops being a negative self-fulfilling prophecy).
Each of us lives our life within the constraints of our own personal belief system, which intersects in many ways with society’s collective belief system. Unfortunately, many people grew up in environments, or had later life experiences, that damaged their belief systems. Based on things that happened in their lives, they concluded somewhere along the way that they are “not good enough,” “not attractive enough,” “not successful,” etc. These are core beliefs that are usually built upon specific memories. When we use my revolutionary HBR coaching system to clear the specific memories and associated beliefs and emotions, we experience dramatic improvements in our levels of happiness and success.
Some people feel baffled that my clients can work with me over Skype from anywhere in the world, and then watch their love life and their financial life and everything else in their life TRANSFORM without doing much different in the world.
This confusion arises from first premises. The egoic mind believes that we are a physical body, and that the world is separate from us and “happens to us.” In this picture of reality, the only way we can change the world around us is through physical effort.
HBR proceeds from a very different (and very liberating) premise: The world we see is nothing more or less than a projection of the mind (some people understand this by thinking of the Universe as a hologram).
What this means is that we do indeed have the power to change the entire world by tapping in to and transforming the beliefs contained in our subconscious mind. And this is what HBR accomplishes. This is WHY it works, and it works FAR faster than any method I’ve ever seen.
EFT (also known as tapping) is an acupressure-based healing technique that can be used for many purposes, including physical healing. During EFT/tapping, we tap on specific emotion-related acupressure points while tuning in to an issue. This process helps to release negative energy that is trapped in our nervous system. In my coaching, I use EFT/tapping primarily to help my clients erase their limiting beliefs and release negative emotions such as grief, guilt, shame, and anger. Because with EFT/tapping we are working directly with the subconscious mind, results are dramatic and fast.

Tapping is a miraculous technology, and sometimes even beginners get great results from it. However, just as a laser scalpel is a very different instrument in the hands of a five-year old child versus a world-class neurosurgeon, so tapping is a less or more effective tool depending on the expertise of the person who is using it. I sometimes call it “smart tapping” because I am committed to teaching you hundreds of “smart tapping” shortcuts that I have discovered and developed over the years. These shortcuts will make your tapping sessions far more efficient and effective than traditional tapping. There are some techniques I teach that can clear in one session what once had to be cleared in many sessions addressing “specific” issues.
Wouldn’t you like to save time and money by being on the absolute cutting edge of the tapping world? Of course you would. You are in the right place.
This is a topic that requires a much longer discussion than we can have right here. The bottom line is that HBR is far more efficient than traditional tapping or EFT. In traditional EFT, it may require dozens of sessions tapping on “specific events” from the past in order to get a core issue resolved. By contrast, in my 15-Week Miracle coaching program, not only do we usually get several major core issues resolved for each of my clients, I also teach my clients a holistic system for getting far faster tapping results on their own. I don’t give you a fish … I teach you how to fish.
The modalities that HBR incorporates go far beyond traditional tapping, and I continue to incorporate new learning to keep HBR on the cutting edge of the tapping world. My background as a Harvard-educated attorney gave me a rigorous foundation in understanding belief systems that no other tapping expert can provide, as far as I know. Among the many additional modalities that are integrated in HBR, I would include Non-Violent Communication (NVC), ideas from Landmark, insights from Debbie Ford’s Shadow work, teachings from Deepak Chopra’s spiritual work, practices from Byron Katie’s question-based method of inquiry, wisdom from Wayne Dyer about the power of intention and much more, extensive teachings from A Course in Miracles, practices and insights from the Power of Now and A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, healing practices and an understanding of the chakras from an accomplished Reiki and medical intuitive healer, death therapy, scripts and ideas from dozens and dozens of tapping practitioners, extensive expertise from leading dating and relationship coaches, and much, much more. During sessions, you won’t even realize that I am drawing from all of these healers’ work because I’ve seamlessly integrated all of it into one holistic system that works much faster than any one of the methods by itself.
Beyond what any of them teach, I have also created cutting-edge tapping techniques that nobody else is teaching, as far as I know. Many of these scripts just “came to me” intuitively during tapping that I was doing with myself or a client. And they turned out to be so powerful that I continued using them. This is my “top secret” material that usually only my private clients ever learn about.
If you sign up for private coaching with me, and you’re already familiar with tapping, you’ll notice that I have mostly stopped using many of the “formal practices” that are used for traditional tapping. The reason for this is that the traditional practices can really slow down the healing process of a session, which does not make the best use of our precious time together. The traditional practices also tend to be mechanical and clunky, whereas tapping at the highest level is very fluid and intuitive. A true tapping expert is not reciting a script. She is channeling Divine Guidance. And it makes ALL the difference in the speed of the healing that is accomplished.
Finally, HBR is truly “holistic.” Many people waste their tapping hours and dollars attempting to resolve a specific issue without understanding the relationship of that issue to the whole person and his or her belief system. This simply won’t work. You are never going to resolve “procrastination” as a specific issue if you don’t first get in touch with your true passion and life purpose. You are never going to solve your problems with money by tapping about money if the real issue has something to do with your relationship with your mother. And most tapping practitioners have not been educated to understand issues holistically. The fact that HBR always considers the whole person makes it much faster for getting results than traditional tapping. Instead of spending five sessions on some specific issue, we are much more likely to skip that specific issue entirely and go to a core issue that intuitively “feels” related to me (I can usually explain to the client logically why it’s related, also, after receiving the intuitive guidance that is channeled through me) … and lo and behold, we resolve the core issue and a bunch of specific issues disappear without ever addressing the specific issues directly.
The holistic aspect of HBR is also related to its spiritual aspect, and incorporating spirituality into HBR absolutely, positively, no-doubt-about-it accelerates the results we are able to achieve. I realize that some people get “triggered” by talk about God, but setting that aside for a moment, do you think you’ll achieve faster results with Him/Her/It on your team or all by yourself? Given the choice, I’ll be on God’s team every time. ;)
I could talk about this for hours … if you want to learn more, check out my new membership site when it’s launched shortly, and come join the magical world of HBR :)
Tapping is really nothing more than emotional acupressure. Acupressure is a trusted technology that has been around for centuries and is widely accepted today even by Western medicine. In HBR, this acupressure helps us tune in much more quickly to emotions, memories, and intuition.
In coaching sessions, I have experimented with using and not using tapping. My clients who tap throughout sessions (and especially those who also tap between sessions) experience much faster results than those who don’t. For that reason alone, I keep tapping as an integral part of HBR.
I could give plenty of life advice. Goodness knows I’ve absorbed the best of what the coaching industries have to offer. What I’ve found though after extensive experimentation is that HBR, including tapping, is (as far as I know) the most powerful method of rapid life transformation. In my opinion, tapping accelerates the results of normal coaching by at least 100. I know how frustrating it is to spend money on dating advice, life coaching, and products that don’t work. Because your time and money are precious, I want you to see noticeable results immediately.
Of course, if you’re new to tapping, you may feel a little silly at first tapping on your body as we talk … but aren’t the radically improved results worth a little silliness?
I highly recommend using tapping in tandem with daily meditation. HBR integrates daily meditation as part of the system. I’ve written an article for the new membership site (to be released shortly) that explains this in more detail.
In my early years of blogging and promoting “alternative” healing and self-development methods such as Emotional Freedom Technique (or tapping), critics sometimes accused me of not being “logical” or “scientific” enough. The notion that a holistic acupressure-based system of belief change such as tapping could be so much more powerful than any conventional method of self-improvement available on the market today was just way beyond their current reality or comfort zone.
To help you understand where I’m coming from, I’m going to share some details about my background. I did have formal training before I entered the world of self-improvement and alternative healing: specifically, first I went to Stanford University for college, and then I graduated from Harvard Law School very near the top of my class. They didn’t give us official class rankings at Harvard, but based on my grade point average, I was approximately in the top 2% of my class, give or take. I very nearly clerked for the U.S. Supreme Court.
If you know about what it’s like to study at Harvard Law School, you already know that nobody graduates there in the top of the class without understanding the “logical” and “scientific” perspective about life. The truth is that I was really “good” at being logical. And right now I could be making millions of dollars being an attorney in private practice, employing a whole lot of “logic.”
But I have chosen instead to be a life coach and public speaker. I made this choice because my extensive experience in the world of law taught me something quite precious: it taught me that the conventional methods of addressing problems do not solve anything.
I watched corporations spend millions of dollars litigating disputes that could have been resolved in one or two days of compassionate mediation. I saw simple disputes that turned into complex nightmares, requiring boxes and boxes of paper and thousands of people-hours. What a waste of precious resources and energy!
It broke my heart to see people trying to use logic to solve conflicts, and instead finding themselves more and more deeply entrenched in turmoil and expensive battles.
And meanwhile, the deeper I got into that world, the more my own personal life disintegrated.
Even the first year of law school I knew it was stealing my soul. I knew it intuitively, but I allowed “logic” to override my intuition, and I have paid dearly for it. I plowed through, and what I lost in the process was my aliveness, my spontaneity, my creativity, and my femininity.
And after law school, it only got worse. My career was going great. My relationships were in shambles.
My body was wracked with chronic and very intense pain that made it impossible even to sit in a normal chair. So I did the “logical” thing and went to see traditional doctors. And you know what? They couldn’t do anything for me.
It wasn’t until I landed in a hospital bed a few years ago within inches of my life, and had a full on near-death experience, that I knew something had to change.
The doctors didn’t fully understand what was happening to me. They said it was rare but catastrophic side effects of a medical procedure I’d had. But I knew better. It was not an accident that I ended up in the hospital. God was waking me up. I was in the hospital because “logic” had nearly killed my soul, and I was half dead inside. My soul was looking for a way out …
After I got out of the hospital, I began the spiritual journey that has landed me here.
Upon discovering Emotional Freedom Technique (or tapping), I began using it every single day, first just on myself and over time with many other people. I unraveled one emotional issue after another.
I studied compassionate communication, Reiki, A Course in Miracles, and countless other spiritual and healing methods.
And as I did so, my chronic pain disappeared. My relationships started improving. Old intractable conflicts dissolved. New opportunities began opening up in every area of my life. People began to be magnetized to me. Dozens of men started pursuing me romantically. I received numerous marriage proposals.
My acupuncturist was amazed at how my chi (life energy) had become completely un-stagnant and healthy again.
Everything was changing, and really, really fast :)
It became very obvious to me that if I could apply my system to other people’s lives, hour for hour, I would be able to give them FAR more value and true satisfaction and empowerment than I’ll ever be able to give them as an attorney.
So although I was still working as a lawyer, my heart was not really in it anymore. I devoted myself in my off hours almost obsessively to understanding from the ground up exactly how I had transformed my own life, and how I could do this for other people as well.
My legal education did serve me in one way. I took all the emotional and spiritual teachings that I was learning and refining into a “logical” framework, that is, a holistic understanding of how people’s belief systems operate and create their realities.
“Okay, I’m intrigued, and I’d like to learn more …”
There are several ways to learn more about HBR, which will be revealed in more detail on the new membership site, to be released shortly.
When you see how powerful this coaching method is, you will wish you had started sooner, so the time to act is NOW.
I’ve been tapping and applying HBR pretty much every day for years. I have studied all the experts, and I’ve gone beyond what any of them teach to create my own signature techniques that get faster results than anything else I’ve seen. I have learned shortcuts and ways of talking to the subconscious mind that are far beyond what the typical tapping beginner is able to do, and indeed far beyond what most experienced tappers are able to do. I know all the ego’s clever little tricks for keeping you “stuck” and how to let go of them to pave the way for deep transformation. Even one or two sessions with me will teach you ways of using tapping that will save you months if not years of experimentation doing it alone.
In addition, we all have blind spots. I continue to work on a regular basis with an tapping expert because she helps me see my blind spots. Results with tapping are much faster if we work with an expert.
Before the session, I’ll send you an email asking for details about your situation. That helps us frame the session. In order to help you as quickly and efficiently as possible, I will begin the session by interviewing you in depth about the area or areas that you would like to transform. Together, we will identify the core beliefs, negative emotions, and specific memories that are holding you back from achieving your dating goals. We will then proceed to clear those blocks, thus freeing you to be your fully empowered self.
If you are suffering from present-moment emotional distress (such as heartbreak after the ending of a relationship), my first priority will be clearing the grief and other intense emotions. After you are feeling calmer, we can go deeper and look at the bigger picture — often transforming old unhelpful patterns in your love life that may have led to the breakup or traumatic event. If you are already feeling pretty good, then we can move much more quickly to using HBR as a life-enhancement system to create the life of your dreams …
