I agree Erika Awakening. The transparency and dead-on accuracy of your writing is refreshing to me on a level that I can’t compare anyone else to in recent years. I found you today google-searching “forgiveness mantras”. I have since read several of your posts, about your journey, and smiled big reading through the list of sources you’ve integrated. (Incidentally, like you I have studied law and am a writer by profession, and have created much discomfort to myself and others speaking bluntly (and lovingly, EWA). I find a comraderie in your posts that is so very heartwarming. I’ve been studying ACIM, Byron Katie and others for about 2 years, and vegan for 10ish months (spontaneously and near-immediately after leaving fundamentalist religion – no way that’s a coincidence). I have only watched 2 tapping vids in my life, and am looking forward to exploring your site more. Your post above shows such insight about your relationship, society, food, dissonance, and our holographic universe, and has already sparked some specific food for thought about my shadow self. I have turned a new corner on this recently… I see now it was time for me to meet your work! Thank you.

Thank you Erika, really powerful and gritty writing. The Shadow Self is real, I've experienced it surfacing in many ways and it has given me many gifts. Lately due to watching a couple of video's you made I've challenged and done some tapping around my issues with money. Money issues are deeply ingrained in my ancestral consciousness. Many weeks of challenging beliefs have resulted in small but noticeable shifts and practical changes and sometimes a good sum of money just turns up, then it's back to the 'same old same old'. This one is a bit of a bugger!
Something that came whilst tapping was an image of my brother (he was seven years older than me) he was holding a huge wad of notes and looking at me with sheer greedy glee in his eyes. He said "this is all mine, all mine and you're having none of it. You'll never get any of". It was a bit of shock, but the image brought the experience back so clearly. It was linked with many such experiences with him.
I seem never to disconnect entirely with him no matter what I do. He died several years ago now though.
Anyway, thank you again for being so passionate to uncover the whole truth, it's inspiring in this world of lies…..the whole system is rife with confusion :)

I do agree that the paradigm that created it is in error, but mainly due to the idea that you can control another human being. I don’t think there is anything wrong with special relationships or having more than one relationship at a time, if you so choose. The issue is the human need to control. The only person you can ever control is yourself and your own vibration and the illusion that you can control other people and events is the error. This is the need for external power and once you transcend the need for external power, you allow people to choose freely that which pleases them the most and you do the same…even in special relationships. If they lie or cheat, you see the humanness in them and accept them as they are. They are on their own path and for them to manifest a lie verses being open and honest is a personal matter. If you react, it becomes your personal matter too. If you dont, there is no shawdow-you have found the truth that you are no longer needing anything from them because you have found it within yourself. You can enjoy them in the moment for what they have to offer you, without expectation- without conditions. It appears you have taken information regarding shadows, but have made him wrong- your Ex. I sense a need to control his understanding when he is growing at the paste that he is and so are you. Good information on shadows. However, I don’t think there is anything “wrong” with monogamy- however there is the desire for control and external power that seems describe what you were referring to.

Thank you, Erika, for your ability to explain the shadow self using your own real-life example. It’s pretty powerful stuff. It is amazing how you could tie it in with the recent massacre and the eating of meat being no different. Until we all learn to own our projections and understand the shadow-self, we will feel pretty stuck in our fears and nothing will change for the better in the world we perceive.
